Canon PowerShot SD1000 is a 7.1 mega pixel camera. It is ultra compact and easy to carry. It utilise a CCD type sensor. It is well equipped with the latest face detection technology. The pixel density of the camera is found to be 29 MP/ cm². Maximum possible resolution in PowerShot SD1000 is 3072 x 2304. Other possible resolutions are 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200 and 640 x 480 respectively.

Canon PowerShot A460

Canon Powershot A460 is a 5.0 mega pixel camera with 2.0 inch LCD display. It utilises a CCD type sensor. Pixel density of the camera is 29 MP/cm². Maximum possible resolution in PowerShot A460 is 2592 x 1944. Lower resolutions supported by the camera includes 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200 and 640 x 480. It supports two image ratios. They are 4:3 and 3:2. Size of the sensor is 1/3 inch. It supports auto focus feature only. Normal focus range of the camera is 47 cm and macro focus range is 1 cm. Optical zooming is possible up to 4x. It is possible to get 16x magnification when combined with the digital zoom facility. Canon Powershot A460 uses DIGIC II image processor for its functioning.

Canon EOS 40D

Canon EOS 40D is a 10.1 Mega pixel digital camera. High resolution images can be obtained with the help of this 10.1 Mega pixel camera. It has got a 14bit analog to digital converter. Images can be obtained in three sizes. These includes 3888 x 2592, 2816 x 1880 and 1936 x 1288 sizes.

Canon PowerShot G7

Canon PowerShot G7 has got high end features. It has got a solid, compact body and has also got external flash capabilities. It is actually the successor of Canon’s previous G6 model. The camera has got an effective pixel of 10 Megapixels.
