Samsung NV4 review

Samsung NV4 is a 8.2 mega pixel digital camera. Digital zooming is possible in this camera up to 5x. The camera is provided with a 2.5” LCD for display. The resolution of the LCD screen is 230,000 pixels.

Samsung NV4 Features

Maximum possible picture resolution in this digital camera is 3264 x 2448. Other resolutions supported by this model include 3264 x 2176, 3264 x 1836, 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536 and 1024 x 768. Three image ratios are possible in this camera. They are 4:3, 3:2 and 16:9. It utilizes a CCD type sensor and the size of the sensor is 1/2.5”. The pixel density is 33 MP/cm². Wide zoom is possible in this camera model up to 38mm and tele zoom is possible up to 114mm.

It supports auto focusing only and there are three types of auto focusing facilities provided in this model. They are Multi-point AF, Center and Face detection. Normal focus range is 80cm and the macro focus range is 1cm. Samsung NV4 is provided with built in flash facility. It supports 5 flash modes. They are Auto, On, Off, Red Eye reduction and Slow Sync. You can also record movie clips using this camera. But, only one movie format is supported by this camera, 800 x 592, 30 fps. Self timer facility is also provided.

Weight and Storage

The weight of this camera is 180g. This weight is inclusive of the weight of the batteries. 34MB internal storage space is provided in this camera. Samsung NV4 supports digital storage media like SD card, MMC card and SDHC card. Three image quality levels supported by this camera include Super fine, Fine and Normal.

Power and Connectivity

It utilizes a rechargeable lithium ion battery for its power. Battery charger is also provided along with the camera. You can share the photos and videos captured by connecting the digital camera to your computer with the help of the data cable. Camera supports two connectivity facilities. They are USB2.0 and video out.

Price and Looks

It costs around 190$. The dimension of the camera is 95 x 57 x 18 mm. It is a slim camera and you can carry it easily in your pocket.
