FlipAlbum helps you to setup the finished projects in the album book format or to play as a slideshow.

By simply selecting these three simple steps, and it was really easy for me to create virtual photo albums to put my memorable days together.  I was quite impressed playing with this program.

  1. Select a photo folder,
  2. Select Page Layouts,
  3. Theme selection

Simply select a photo folder and it will create the page layouts, audio and annotations.

All the versions of FlipAlbums support common image format such as jpg, tif, gif, bmp, PNG and more. The powerful photo editing and formatting tools had helped me to crop, contrast, remove red eye, and change in the dimension of the image and more. I can easily create a set of photo albums and able to share them anywhere using email or by posting on the web.

FlipAlbum minimum system requirements

  • Any version of the Windows,
  • PII with 300 MHz or superior,
  • 64 MB of RAM, and
  • 80 MB of free disk space

After installing this software on the computer and without even going through the instruction manual, I was able understand on how to create my Flip Album and on how to display it.

The annotation tool helped me to easily add description, and captions to the photos or put on top over them. The one and the only trick was for altering (re-sizing) the annotation window, for this you have to click at the bottom of the right hand side of the frame, relative to the any other corner of the windows application. Here you also have a choice to choose fonts, styles and colors.

In Flip Album you can also even set a background music using Wav or MP3 files. However I highly advise to use MP3 files because of the less size of MP3 file compared to the Wav file.

You can set book options like Book Covers, Book and Page Background, Page Margins, Display Options, Audio Options and some Miscellaneous Options when opening a book.

For me FlipAlbum is almost everything that I was looking for in a proofing application. A completed FlipAlbum is a digital proof album which is for all intent and purposes.
